David Backes scored his second overtime goal of the playoffs, this one coming 10:58 on the powerplay as the Blues survived a serious rally from the Dallas Stars to win 4-3 and even the series.

After getting just two shots on goal in the third period, the Blues squandered a two-goal lead with Jamie Benn tying the game with 2:34 left in regulation.  Dallas continued to attack in the overtime period.

However, Antoine Roussel was whistled for an interference call, giving St. Louis their second powerplay in overtime.

Vladimir Tarasenko had a shot blocked and the rebound came to back to him.  That forced Dallas to get out of their box.

He fed Kevin Shattenkirk at the point, who slid it over to Alex Steen at the right point who fired a wide open shot on goal.  The rebound came to Backes and it put back the rebound past Antti Niemi, who replaced Kari Lehtonen in goal after the Blues scored three times on five shots in the first.
