Lefty Jaime Garcia threw a one-hit complete game shutout and struck out a career high 13 as the Cardinals take two of three from Milwaukee with a 7-0 win over the Brewers on Thursday afternoon from Busch Stadium.

According to the Cardinals media department, Garcia’s 13 Ks were the most by a Cardinals left-hander since Steve Carlton fanned 16 Phillies on May 21, 1970.

Randal Grichuk and Jeremy Hazelbaker hit two-run homers.  Matt Carpenter doubled twice and drove in two runs.
