There are plenty of storylines in place when the Class 1-3 boys and girls basketball semifinals start up this Thursday with a total of 12-semifinal games being played in Columbia at Mizzou Arena and Hearnes Center.

Stanberry High School has a chance to make history. Their football team won the 8-man football championship by going undefeated this past fall. The boys basketball team is 29-0. Two more wins will make Stanberry the first high school in MSHSAA history to have it’s football and boys basketball team go undefeated in the same year.

The Bulldogs will play Glasgow, 8:20 on Thursday night at Hearnes Center.

Class 1 girls Walnut Grove and Class 2 girls Crane are both going for four-peats. Walnut Grove’s semifinal game at 3:20 against Naylor is a rematch of last year’s final.
