The Missouri House of Representatives has voted to send to Governor Jay Nixon (D) a bill alternately called “paycheck protection” by supporters and “paycheck deception” by opponents.

The bill would block the deduction of union dues or fees from public employees’ paychecks without annual permission. If todays’ 109-49 vote count stands, the House would have enough support for the bill to overturn a veto, which is expected from Nixon.

The Senate sent the bill back to the House earlier this week with a veto-proof vote.
