Following Kentrell Brothers’ workout at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this weekend, NFL.com graded Mizzou’s top linebacker from year ago at a 5.28.  A grade that lands him squarely in the “Chance to become an NFL starter” range.

Brothers did not fair well on the 40 yd dash and bench press but was one of the top performers in the 3-cone drill and 20 yd shuttle run finishing in the top three and two in the respective categories.  An indication that shows he may lack strength, but has the quickness to make up for his lack of pure speed.  His ability to change direction and react are his strong suits.

4.89 SEC — 40 yd dash
19 REPS — bench press
28.5 INCH — vertical jump
110.0 INCH — broad jump
6.99 SEC — 3-cone drill
4.11 SEC — 20 yd shuttle

Also attending the event were lineman Evan Boehm and Connor McGovern.

McGovern who was second with 33 reps on the bench press, second best, graded out at 5.37 “NFL backup.”  Boehm graded out slightly higher at 5.42 but in the same category.
