Mizzou Wrestling junior 197-pounder J’den Cox was named Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week. Cox picked up his 100th career victory on Feb. 21, in a 16-7 major decision win over Nebraska’s No. 10-ranked Aaron Studebaker in Mizzou’s NWCA National Duals Series matchup. The win helped the Tigers defeat the Huskers, 19-14.
Cox picked up his 100th win in 105 matches, becoming the fastest in Mizzou history to the century mark. This season, Cox is 25-1, 15-1 in duals, and has won 12-straight matches.
Cox is ranked No. 2 in the nation by the NCAA Coaches Panel Rankings.
Cox and the Tigers look for their fourth straight MAC Tournament title and fifth conference title overall at the 2016 MAC Championships, held March 5-6 in Ypsilanti, MI.
