The Royals agreed to terms with their final arbitration-eligible player as third baseman Mike Moustakas agreed to a two-year contract. The deal is reportedly worth a combined $14.3 million.  The 27-year old Moustakas will make $5.6 million in 2016 and $8.7 million in 2017, according to KCRoyals.com.

Royals’ GM Dayton Moore continued his streak of avoiding arbitration hearings by going ten consecutive seasons by settling all cases before a hearing.

Moustakas, an All-Star last season hit a career best .284 with 22 home runs, while batting .215 with two extra base hits in the postseason.
