St. Louis Blues center Paul Stastny had had a goal and three assists and his linemates of Troy Brouwer and Alex Steen finished with a goal and an assist to give that line eight points in the game as the Blues beat Pittsburgh 5-2 at Scottrade Center on Monday night.

Stastny suffered a facial cut on January 8 and for the last two games was using a full cage.  He was having issues seeing the entire ice and went to a full clear visor.  The change obviously helped him.

“It felt like I could see so much more and not playing so hesitant,” said Stastny. “I had to switch right away. It’s a little different, but it’s so much more clear.”

Brouwer and Steen each had a goal and an assist.  Steen gave the Blues a 1-0 lead in the first and Brouwer the lead for good in the third, breaking a 2-2 tie, when he swatted at a bouncing puck just above the ice, beating Penguins goalie Jeff Zatkoff through the legs.

The Blues were outshot 38-25.  Brian Elliott made 36 saves in the win, who despite facing a barrage of shots in the last two games, has led the Blues to four points in the standings.
