After holding the Chargers to just three points in a blowout win three weeks ago, the Chiefs defense had to do it again to preserve their seventh win in a row.  Philip Rivers got the Chargers down to the one, but failed to get them in the endzone as the Chiefs hold on for 10-3 win at Arrowhead on Sunday.

Rivers came through on fourth down three times in the final drive.  Two penalties pushed San Diego from the one to the 11 and Rivers final pass to Danny Woodhead was incomplete as time expired.  Dee Ford was covering Woodhead on the final play.  Ford finished the game with three sacks.

Alex Smith threw for 191 yards and a touchdown, along with his first interception after a franchise-record 312 attempts.
