Toronto starter Marco Estrada lost his shutout bid with two outs in the eighth inning after Salvador Perez hit his second home run of the postseason.  It was just one of four Royals hits as the Blue Jays won 7-1 to send the ALCS back to Kansas City with the Royals leading 3-2 in the series.

Edinson Volquez allowed five runs in five innings on three hits and four walks.  Chris Colabello homered in the second to give Toronto a 1-0 lead.  It stayed that way until the sixth when Volquez lost hit touch.

He walked Ben Revere and hit Josh Donaldson then walked Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion to make it 2-0.  Kelvin Herrera struck out Colabello, but then Troy Tulowitzki cleared the bases with a double to blow the game open at 5-0.

Lorenzo Cain’s club record 13-game hitting streak in the postseason came to an end.
