Sheldon Richardson mug shot (O’Fallon Police Department)

Sheldon Richardson will plead not guilty to all charges following his arrest after a road race in St. Charles County.  The former Missouri Tiger, now with the New York Jets, faces charges of resisting arrest and numerous traffic violations for his part in the July 14 incident.

The 24-year old St. Louis native was clocked driving 143 mph in his 2014 Bentley while he was racing another car on Hwy 40/I-64 in the early morning hours.

The report stated Richardson fled the highway at WingHaven Boulevard after an O’Fallon police tried to stop him.  Richardson ran a red light and then pulled into a driveway in a nearby neighborhood when officers finally caught up with Richardson.  A 12-year old boy and two adult men were passengers in the car.
