Chris Young, who allowed three homers in his last 11-innings while suffering two losses, took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and Salvador Perez homered to help the Kansas City Royals to a 2-0 victory over the Twins on Tuesday night.  The win moves the Royals one game ahead of Minnesota in the AL Central.

Young (5-2) left after giving up a triple to Trevor Plouffe with one out in the seventh for his only hit of the game. Franklin Morales and Kelvin Herrera finished out the seventh, leaving the tying run stranded on third.  Then Wade Davis and Greg Holland did their thing in the eighth and ninth.

The Royals jumped on Trevor May with their first two batters.  Alcides Escobar doubled and Mike Moustakas singled him home for a quick 1-0 lead.  Perez added his ninth homer of the season in the ninth.
