All of the scoring took place in the sixth inning as fifth seeded Missouri Southern fell 3-1 to second seeded Minnesota State in the NCAA Division II Central Regional.

In a game that saw only one hit through five innings Missouri Southern struck first in the sixth as Jesse Rall followed up a Chris Hoffman double with a single that scored him. Minnesota State would answer in the bottom of the sixth as they plated three runs with four singles.

On the mound for MSSU Payton Walker threw six innings allowing just five hits and three runs while striking out six in the loss.

Missouri Southern will face off with top seeded St. Cloud State at approximately 2 p.m. today in an elimination game from Bob Cross Park in St. Cloud, Minn
