Patrik Berglund’s eighth goal with 1:49 remaining in the second period gave the Blues a 1-0 lead, but Winnipeg’s Mark Scheifele tied it 3:14 into the third period to force overtime game, but Alex Steen tucked one in between Michael Hutchinson’s leg and the post during the shootout to give the Blues a 2-1 victory.

Brian Elliot helped steal the extra point for the Blues.  He made some tough saves in the 31 shots on goal he faced.

Berglund took a flip pass from Paul Stastny who cut through  Winnipeg’s Chris Thorburn and Dustin Byfuglien.  Berglund took the pass and was able to beat Hutchinson over his stick shoulder.

In the shootout, Vladimir Tarasenko scored in the second round and Andrew Ladd kept the Jets alive on their last chance, before Steen ended it in third round.

The win ended a two-game losing streak for the Blues, who completed a 1-3-0 homestand Tuesday. Ten of their next 13 games will be on the road, including another visit to Winnipeg on March 19.
