The NHL All-Star game is never a good day for goalies when the objective is to give the fans a lot of action. A record 29 goals were scored and Blues goalie Brian Elliott, who played the third period, gave up six goals.

“It’s always tough for the goalies.  You gotta have fun with it and try to make a couple of saves and just kind of be amazed by some of the moves you see out there…amazing players,” said Elliott.

His teammate on Team Foligno, defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk scored a goal and added an assist. He logged a game high 22 minutes of ice time.  Their teammate Vladimir Tarasenko was actually their opponent and Team Toews. He played 20 minutes, the most of any forward in the All-Star game and had four assists.
