The St. Louis County Prosecutor’s office says the grand jury investigating Brown’s shooting has made a decision that will be announced tonight.

In an interview with CNN, attorney Daryl Parks, a co-counsel for the Brown Family, said that would be the proper way to do things for the Brown family.

“I don’t think that they should be treated like the general public in this case. They should be treated like a victim,” Parks told CNN. “As customary in America there’s always victim’s advocates who let the victim know what’s about to transpire, even if it’s not the ultimate, final outcome. They should at least be briefed and prepped to know what’s about to take place before the general public or other outsiders would know. They deserve that.”

Parks said Brown’s family deserves to be treated as victims in the case.
