The Mizzou soccer team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth timeĀ in program history, and they will face their former hated rival, the Kansas Jayhawks in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Rock Chalk Park on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m.

The 2014 berth marked the sixth time the Tigers advanced to the NCAA Tournament, joining teams fromĀ 1999, 2003, 2007, 2008 and 2012. Mizzou is 2-3-3 all-time in the Tournament and has a record of 2-1-2 in NCAA first round games. Missouri earned its berth with an 11-6-3 overall record, including wins over NCAA Tournament teams Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia and Arkansas.

Kansas owns a record of 15-5 record and posted a 5-3 mark in Big 12 Conference action. The Jayhawks, ranked No. 18 in the latest top-25 poll, lostĀ in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament last week.

The last time these two schools met on the pitch, Mizzou scored three unanswered goals in the final six minutes to defeat Kansas 3-2 on October 21, 2011 at Walton Stadium.
