Alex Smith’s first touchdown pass will be on all the highlight shows.  His pass near the goal line batted down by a Jets linebacker.  Tight end Anthony Fasano was sitting with his back towards the end zone.  The ball landed right in his lap and he scooted into the end zone for a Kansas City touchdown.

That’s the kind of day it was for the Chiefs, who won 24-10 over the New York Jets.

Smith finished with 199 yards and two touchdowns passing, and Jamaal Charles ran for another score as the Chiefs improve to 5-3, having won five of their last six games.

Justin Houston had two sacks on Michael Vick, who got the start over Geno Smith. Defensive tackle Dontari Poe also had a sack, and Josh Mauga knocked Vick out of the game with a hit in the fourth quarter.
