The theme of Mizzou’s 103rd Homecoming celebration is “Celebrating our Stripes.”  When the Tigers host Vanderbilt on Saturday, October 25 at 3 p.m., Mizzou Athletics wants all fans attending the game to color coordinate be either wearing black or gold that is assigned to their seat section.  The goal is to “Tiger Stripe” Memorial Stadium.

When its come to big prime time games, Tiger fans have stepped up.  The sea of gold has looked awesome on national television for past night games against Nebraska and Oklahoma, but last week’s Gold Rush game was a little off the mark.  Many fans wore gold, but there were  pockets of black, grey and other colors.  I asked a Missouri fan why they didn’t wear gold and one of the responses I got was, “It’s chilly, and I don’t have a gold jacket.”  Oh boy.

West Virginia has done it.  So has Oklahoma. Even Boise State … with three colors.  If they can do, you can do it Mizzou fans!

Check your ticket, check your closet and grab the right color!
