For the third time in this series since the Missouri Tigers moved to the SEC, the visiting has won this matchup.  The 13th ranked Georgia Bulldogs dominated right from the beginning for a 34-0 win.  The loss drops Mizzou to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play while Georgia improves to 3-1 in the SEC with the all important tie-breaker over the Tigers.

The stats tell the story of this blowout loss for Mizzou.

The Tigers turned the ball over five times…a lost fumble late in the first half was their first of the season.

This is the second time in SEC play, that they’ve throw four interceptions.  The also did it in the 14-7 loss at Florida.

Mizzou was shutout at home for the first time since 2002, a 38-0 loss to K-State on Nov. 23.

This is Georgia’s first road shutout over a ranked opponent, ever.

Georgia freshman running back Nick Chubb had 38 carries for 143 yards.  That’s the highest total for a Georgia back since 2001 when Verron Hayes had 39 carries.

Quarterback Hutson Mason, supposedly the weak link of the Bulldogs’ offense was 18 of 23 (78%) for 156 yards.

Georgia won this game without their top running back Todd Gurley and their leading receiver Chris Conley who hurt his knee in the first quarter.
