The Tigers put the game out of reach early in the fourth quarter.  A 30 yard touchdown pass on a 3rd and 9 from Mauk to Bud Sasser in the endzone. Mauk was blitzed and heaved up a throw into man on man coverage. The drive covered three plays after a 20 yard punt by South Dakota State.

Zach Lujan, SD State’s backup QB, hit on three long passes, but Ian Simon stripped a Rabbit receiver inside the 15, recovered by Braylon Webb.

Fatique became a factor as the Tigers defense looked strong down the stretch after spending nearly 14 minutes on the field in the third quarter.

Mizzou’s defense finished with three turnovers.

Hansbrough finished with a career high 126 rushing yards.
