Cardinals General Manager John Mozeliak announced  that Yadier Molina and  Michael Wacha will report to the team’s Springfield, Mo. Double-A club this week with plans to continue their rehabilitation.

Molina will report to Springfield today (August 26) where he will go through a full workout with the Springfield club. Wacha is scheduled to report and throw a “live” batting practice session to the Springfield team on Wednesday.

Wacha, 5-5, 2.79 ERA, has been sidelined since June 18 due to a right shoulder stress reaction. Molina, who is batting .287 with 7 HR’s and 30 RBI, has been sidelined since July 10 after having suffered a torn ligament in his right thumb that required corrective surgery.
