Sam Bradford is happy with the first week of training camp as the Rams held Fan Fest on Saturday.

The third annual Rams Fan Fest had over 15,000 in attendance at the Edward Jones Dome, as fans attended the practice and scrimmage on Saturday.  The Rams first preseason game is this Friday against New Orleans.

In 11-on-11 action, quarterback Sam Bradford was spreading the ball around to several receivers, hitting big plays down the field, showing off his accuracy and some velocity.  “Coming into this camp is probably the strongest I’ve been from the waist up,” Bradford said. “I think it probably has paid off a little bit. I feel like I do have a little more zip on the ball, and I feel like I can make some of those throws that maybe were a little slower last year.”

One of the more impressive receivers this camp as been second year pro Stedman Bailey from Vanderbilt.  He started seeing more action towards the end of last season, finishing with 15 catches for 195 yards in his last five games, after not getting a pass thrown to him in the first eight games of his rookie season.

Now Bailey will miss the first four games of this season as he serves out his suspension for violating league policy on performance-enhancing substances.

“Yes, we’ll miss him, but he’s going to push through camp and will get through his ordeal, and we’ll get him right back in the lineup.” coach Jeff Fisher said following Saturday’s practice.

Bailey and Fisher comment on the suspension.

The Rams took off on Sunday before getting back to business with a practice open to the public on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
