A St. Louis County man has been arrested in Denver, going to what he thought was to have been a sexual encounter with a woman and her two underage daughters. The woman who met Darwin Gilbert Gowen was actually an undercover federal immigration and Homeland Security agent.
He faces more than 30 years in prison for travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and two counts of attempted coercion.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the investigation began on a pornographic website that allows users to seek out other users with an interest in engaging in sexual activities with their children.
