Royals catcher Salvador Perez homered and drove in a career-tying four runs as the Royals rallied for a 10-7 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night. Perez hit a two-run double off Sergio Santos in a six-run eighth that put the Royals ahead.

It didn’t take Perez long to break out of a 1 for 29 slump. In the last three games, he has seven hits as he also homered in the seventh with Alex Gordon on base to cut the Jays to 5-4.

The Royals sent ten men to the plate in the eighth, with Omar Infante driving in two runs and Nori Aoki and Jarrod Dyson adding RBI singles. Aaron Crow (1-1), picked up the victory with a scoreless eighth inning and has not allowed an earned run while allowing only five hits in nine innings this season.
