Joe Lynn, the head coach for the University of Missouri’s cross country team and assistant track coach, has been suspended, according to the Columbia Missourian. University officials offered no details for the reason of the suspension.

According to his bio on the Missouri Tigers website, Lynn came to Columbia in 2011 to take over the men’s cross country program, and coach the mid-distance and distance events on the track. In the summer of 2012, Lynn was named the Women’s Head Cross Country Coach, along with the mid-distance and distance coaching responsibilities on the track team. Under Lynn’s watch, the Missouri record books have been rewritten, highlighted by NCAA rankings, school records, and student-athletes earning both conference and national accolades.
