Daylen Robinson hit a free throw with two seconds to play and DeShaun Cooper last second three-pointer was off the mark in a wild regional championship game. Central Missouri outscored Northwest Missouri 24-20 in the second half to force overtime and pull out a 60-59 victory.

Charles Hammork led the way for the Mules with a double-double scoring 12 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Daylen Robinson had 13 points going two for four from behind the arch and Preston Brunz added 10 points.

For the Bearcats DeShaun Cooper was the only player in double figures scoring 24 points and pulling down six rebounds. Tyler Funk scored eight points and pulled down six boards as well.

For the Bearcats Cooper was named to the All-Central Regional Tournament team while for the Mules Dillon Deck made the team and Hammork was named the Most Outstanding Player.

Northwest Missouri finishes the season with a 24-9 overall record on the season. Central Missouri advances to the Elite Eight where they will face Southern Connecticut State winner of the East Regional on March 26 from Evansville, Ind. with game time to be announced later.
