The Missouri women’s basketball team qualified for postseason play and the Tigers will travel to Creighton in the first round of the WNIT Tournament on Thursday, March 20.

Missouri enters Thursday’s game with a 17-13 record and a 6-10 mark in the SEC. The Tigers opened the season with 12 wins in their first 14 games, but struggled in the tough Southeastern Conference. Missouri is led by Bri Kulas’ 18.6 ppg, while Jordan Frericks leads the Tigers on the boards with 209 on the year.

Creighton enters Thursday’s contest with a 19-13 record (12-6 in BIG EAST play), including seven wins over teams in the top-50 RPI. The Bluejays are led by sophomore Marissa Janning, the BIG EAST reigning Player of the Year, as well as All-BIG EAST Second Team Selections senior Sarah Nelson and McKenzie Fujan. Janning led the BIG EAST conference in scoring with 17.8 ppg, while Nelson led Creighton in rebounding at 7.9 rpg.

The time of Thursday’s game has not yet been set, the Creighton/Missouri winner will advance to face the victor in a battle between Butler/South Dakota State.
