Florida’s Scottie Wilbekin scored 15 points thank to 5 for 6 three point shooting as the No. 1 Gators remained unbeaten in SEC, blowing out Mizzou 72-49 in the quarterfinals on Friday.

The game was tied 29-29 at halftime, and after a 7-0 run by Florida, the Tigers were able to cut the lead to 38-36 with just over ten minutes to play.

After Will Yeguete scored a layout, Florida pressed and forced a turnover by Mizzou, and Wilbekin came up with a steal and hit a three. Then Jabari Brown missed a three and Florida’s Patric Young hit a shot to stretch Florida’s lead by to seven at 45-36. A Wilkbelkin three-pointer increased the lead to 14 and the Gators extended from that point on, outscoring the Tigers 32-13 over the final ten minutes.

“We had turnovers, we didn’t make shots during that time…and they just made shots,” said Brown.

Brown finished with 18 on 4 of 11 shooting. He was 10 of 12 at the free throw line. Jordan Clarkson was 5 of 13 for 11 points.
