The Tennessee Volunteers are red hot and their blowing opponents out. The Missouri Tigers were the latest victim, as Mizzou got hammered, 72-45.  Jordan Clarkson had 13 points for Missouri (21-10, 9-9).

Both Tennessee and Missouri are on the NCAA tournament bubble, and this game may have burst the Tigers chances.

Missouri shot 32%(15 of 47) overall and went 2 of 17 from 3-point range. They were 1 of 10 against Texas A & M on Wednesday.

Jabari Brown, the leading scorer in the SEC with 20.1 points per game, shot just 1 of 10 and was held to eight points. His only basket came with 1:19 left in the game. It’s the first game Brown didn’t score double figures this season.

The Tigers were down 37-19 at the break, but Ryan Rosburg’s three-point play cut Tennessee’s lead to 39-25 with 17:25 left. However, the Vols went on a 10-0 run and never trailed by fewer than 22 points the rest of the way.

Missouri will be the 8th seed in next week’s SEC Tournament. The Tigers will play at noon on Thursday from Atlanta, GA.
