Mizzou Basketball will finish the regular season in Knoxville, Tenn., for the second consecutive season as the Tigers and Volunteers meet on Saturday at 3 p.m. Missouri fell to UT on the Volunteers’ Senior Day last year, 64-62.  Earlier this season, the Tigers won 75-70 against the Vols at Mizzou Arena.

Missouri is looking for its 10th league victory on Saturday.  Missouri is looking to finish the regular season with 22 wins for the fourth time in five years … The lone exception was in 2012, Frank Haith’s first season, when Mizzou entered the Big 12 Tournament with 27 victories.  That’s an interesting stat to bring up, because on today’s Google Hangout, Matt Michaels of Columbia affiliate KTGR talks about all the heat that Haith has taken this season.  Matt questions how fans can complain about a 21-win season.  Haith, by the way, is also approaching his 200th career win … The third year Missouri coach has 198 wins to his credit, including 69 at Missouri.

This will not be an easy game for Mizzou.  UT comes into this game on the heels of a dominating 38-point win over Vanderbilt last Saturday, and Tennessee’s win by 28 points at Auburn Wednesday gave the Vols consecutive conference wins by a total of 66 points.  The two-game margin of victory is UT’s largest in consecutive SEC games since also winning by 66 in back-to-back games in 1965.
