T.J. Oshie is using Team USA’s failure as motivation for the rest of the NHL season.

T.J. Oshie and the rest of the Blues who played in the Olympics are back together with their St. Louis teammates in Vancouver to face the Canucks for a game on Wednesday. Oshie reached celebrity status after single handily beating the Russians in the prelims with his four shootout goals.

Now, the Blues turn their thoughts away from gold and silver medals for Canada and Sweden and all come back together for their goal of reaching and winning the franchise’s first Stanley Cup.

The Blues resume in first place in the Central Division with 84 points, tied with Chicago, but with three games in hand. The Blues are second in the conference behind Anaheim, who has 87 points, but the Blues hold a three-game advantage in games played with the Ducks as well.

After their game tomorrow with the Canucks, the Blues face the Ducks on Friday and Phoenix on Sunday, before finally returning home next Tuesday against Tampa Bay.
