“You can do both,” Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel said Thursday morning during his final meeting with the media, when discussing that the players have had fun and could get their work done in preparation for the Cotton Bowl Classic, set to kickoff this Friday at 7 p.m.

Pinkel wants his players to have fun. It is their reward for working hard all season, but as the team is less than 36 hours away from facing 13th ranked Oklahoma State, the coaching staff and the players are starting to get themselves into game mode.

The Tigers will not do a walk-through today at AT&T Stadium. This whole season Pinkel has not brought his team out to the stadium the day before the game and that approach won’t change. He calls in “lock-in” mode. He wants his players to start focusing in on their responsibilities for the game.

You can listen to the joint press conference with Pinkel and Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.
