The Department of Health and Human Services says it will meet its goal of having an Affordable Care Act website that will work for the “vast majority” of users by Sunday.   Missouri’s Senior Senator has been doing some shopping there already.

Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has told state officials that Healthcare.gov is “vastly improved” and people visiting the site will find it is working “vastly better.”

Senator McCaskill has been disappointed in the rollout of the program’s enrollment system.  But she thinks people who look into the program instead of attacking it because it’s an Obama program are likely to find something acceptable.

She says the flawed rollout was “embarrassing,” and says she was among those who were “angry and frustrated.”  But she says she’s going to shop for insurance on the exchange, which is federally-run because the legislature refused to let a state-operated program to operate in Missouri.  She says she had 28 choices with widely-varying costs.
