Frank Haith and Norm Stewart discuss this Friday’s game at Hearnes Center

Missouri begins its 108th season of basketball on Friday (Oct. 25) night as the Tigers host Oklahoma City University in the exhibition opener. The game will be played at Hearnes Center in a special throwback contest at 7 p.m.

Prior to the game, Mizzou will honor the 1993-94 Missouri Basketball team, led by College Basketball Hall of Famer, Norm Stewart, and All-American Melvin Booker. That team went 14-0 in the Big Eight Conference and won Stewart’s eighth regular-season league title as Mizzou’s head coach.

Parking and tickets to the throwback game will be free to all fans with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The 1993-94 team will be signing autographs on the main concourse of Hearnes Center from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Missouri is playing its first game at Hearnes Center (1972-04) since the 2003-04 season. Mizzou had a 405-72 (.849) record at Hearnes.

On Tuesday, Frank Haith and Stewart sat down together to talk about how this game came about, and reminisce about that team from 20 years ago.
