Anquan Boldin had five catches for 90 yards and a touchdown, and running back Frank Gore had 153 yards on 20 carries and a 34-yard score for San Francisco as the Rams looked pathetic during a 38-11 loss on Thursday night.

The Rams fall to 1-3. It appeared they had the book on how to hang with SF. They had an overtime win and a tie against the Niners last year, and took the early lead after Greg Zuerlein hit a 40-yard field goal that clipped off the right upright. However, the 49ers answered with 28 straight points.

The 49ers woke up in the second quarter, averaging more than 11 yards per play while racking up 176 yards and two touchdowns.

The first was a 20 yard pass from Colin Kaepernick to Boldin on a 3rd and 19 play. Boldin was able to keep his balance and stretch the ball to the goal line before going down. Then in the final minute of the half, Gore added a 34 yard run on a 4th and one. Gore broke through the first layer and went untouched.

Poor play from the Rams offensive line surfaced again. With no running game, Sam Bradford was just 19 for 41 for 202 yards and an interception and has been sacked 11 times the last two games after the Rams allowed none the previous four games.  How much does this team miss Steven Jackson at running back?  A lot. 18 yards rushing on 19 attempts.
