The Missouri Tigers are wrapping up their ninth practice of Fall Camp this morning and the team will be back on the field bright and early Saturday morning for their first official scrimmage. With a new offensive coordinator, and a healthy James Franklin with strong competition behind him, watching the offense will be my focus.

Two players in particular that I will be paying attention to is sophomore center Evan Boehm. As much as we’ve talked about the injuries to Franklin and the offensive line, one of the most frustrating things to watch last year was the Tigers inability to get the ball from center to the quarterback consistently. After the season, Boehm approached head coach Gary Pinkel with an idea.

For this first time since his horrific knee injury against Texas in 2011, running back Henry Josey will take part in his first real scrimmage. Now, Josey has already been it, but this time the tackling and intensity will be ramped up. Josey says he’s ready to not only push himself, but his fellow running back teammates.
