Mizzou Football sophomore offensive lineman Evan Boehm of Lee’s Summit, Mo. has been selected to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, which is presented to the best center in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). Boehm is one just five true sophomores on the list that includes 44 players from across the nation.
Boehm earned Freshman All-America honors from College Football News and Fox Sports after an outstanding initial season on the Mizzou offensive line, in which he started 12 games at left guard. This season Boehm will switch to the center position and will receive his first action at the position this season.
The award’s finalists will be unveiled Dec. 9, with the winner announced during the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show on Dec. 12. The winner will additionally be honored at the Rimington Trophy Presentation banquet at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Neb., on Jan. 11, 2014.
