Zach Price, who was on Louisville’s national championship team announced he’s coming to Missouri. Price, a 6’10, 250 power forward, will have to sit out next season, but the junior will have two years of eligibility. Price was a four star recruit out of high school, but only played in 25 games in two seasons at Louisville.  Last season he made seven starts.  Louisville coach Rick Pitino said playing time was the major issue for Price. Price was actually recruited by Mizzou associate coach Tim Fuller when he was with the Louisville staff.

During the Cardinals championship run, Price averaged just 1.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.7 minutes per game. However, he was recruited based on being known as a good low-post scorer and a potentially solid rebounding force around the basket.

Tiger fans certainly know how valuable transfers can be. Last season Mizozu had four transfer student-athletes who average double figures last season–Jabari Brown, Alex Oriakhi, Keion Bell and Earnest Ross.

Frank Haith and his staff have already snagged Tulsa transfer Jordan Clarkson, who will be eligible this season, and Baylor swing man/guard Deuce Bello will join Price for the 2014-15 season.

I found this video of Price having fun with fans just before he made his debut with Louisville at the Derby Festival Classic.
