Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports tweeted that Phil Pressey has signed a free agent contract with the Boston Celtics.  “Undrafted Missouri guard Phil Pressey has reached agreement on a deal with the Boston Celtics, league source tells Y! Sports.”

Pressey, who averaged 11.9 points and 7.1 assists last season as a junior at Mizzou. His father Paul served as an assistant coach under Doc Rivers in Boston from 2004-06.   If Pressey can overcome his weaknesses and land a spot on the Celtics roster, he’ll be teammates with a guy who helped end his Mizzou career. Boston sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets, and they received big guy Colton Iverson of Colorado State in a trade with Indiana.
