Cardinals rookie Shelby Miller allowed two homers for the second time in three starts and didn’t make it out of the sixth inning, as the Rangers took the second game of this 2011 World Series rematch with a 4-2 win. Rangers rookie Martin Perez entered with a 1-5 record and a 5.40 ERA in seven starts since being called up from Triple-A. He kept the Cardinals in check.

Perez gave up single runs in the first and second innings, then held the Cardinals scoreless as he went seven innings. He allowed just five hits and struck out three. Allen Craig and Shane Robinson drove in the Cardinal runs.

A.J. Pierzynski and Nelson Cruz hit the two run homers off Miller.
