Alex Gordon, Eric Hosmer and Chris Getz each drove in three runs as the Royals combined for 19 hits in a 13-4 win over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Getz finished with a double and triple. Alcides Escobar doubled and homered for the Royals, who roughed up starter Kyle Kendrick for five runs in 5.2 innings. The bats didn’t slow down, as reliever Jeremy Horst was charged with three more runs in one-third of an inning. Raul Valdez mopped up the mess for Philly allowing four runs over the final two innings.

Wade Davis did not get credit for the win. He went four innings and allowed four runs on nine hits, including two homers. The Royals were down 4-2 in the fifth before scoring 11 straight runs.
