This crying UNC fan has become an internet sensation.
Thanks to some quick Tweeting by a Springfield newspaper reporter who recognzied Nixa, MO teen Chase Allen, the local Tar Heel fan became an internet sensation after a pic was posted during the University of North Carolina’s 70-58 loss to the University of Kansas on Sunday at Sprint Center. Chase turns to his brother and appears to be crying. Rather than be embarassed by the coverage on Twitter, Chase took to his own account to enjoy the fun himself, posting another picture that someone else doctored. He refers to himself at “Chase Allen, or the crying UNC fan.”
Chase Allen is the son of Missouri State University football coach Terry Allen who, ironically was a football coach at Kansas from 1997 to 2001.
