The Cougar men’s basketball team is ranked atop the NAIA rankings once again for the seventh straight week. Columbia went 2-0 in American Midwest Conference (AMC) action last week, capping off the first undefeated regular season in program history with a 74-69 victory at William Woods (Mo.) University on Saturday. At 30-0, the Cougars are the last remaining unbeaten team of the 2012-13 season.

The Flames of Lee (Tenn.) University checked in at No. 2 for the sixth straight week with an overall record of 28-1. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College, John Brown (Ark.) University, and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) College rounded out the top five.

Senior Jordan Dressler averaged 14.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in Columbia’s two wins and was named the AMC player of the week on Monday. Dressler, last season’s conference player of the year, leads the Cougars on the season with 13.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest.

Columbia will host Hannibal-LaGrange on Thursday, February 28th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Arena of Southwell Complex.
