The Missouri Department of Insurance says health insurance payments for autism-related treatments are on the rise.
A report show costs went up by more than 50 percent last year. Insurance claims for autism treatment increased to $6.6 million dollars, up from from $4.3 million the previous year.
Missouri law mandates that health insurance providers cover certain treatments … that law went into effect in 2011.
