Chairman Jamilah Nasheed of St. Louis says the GOP wants to create a law requiring a photo ID to vote, but not enforce background checks to purchase guns.

She calls that creating a solution when there’s no problem.

Nasheed says she will call on her fellow Democrats in the Senate to do everything in their collective power to prevent this bill from being passed, implying that they will filibuster if necessary.

Nasheed says she will be asking Democrats in the Senate to do whatever it takes to block a voter photo ID bill, suggesting a filibuster if and when the bill reaches the floor for debate.
