For the second consecutive year and third time in four years, the Northwest Missouri State University Cheerleaders won the Universal Cheerleaders Association Division II National Championship.  Avila University out of Kansas City, won the All-Girl cheerleading championship and their dance team took third place in hip-hop and fifth in jazz.

The Northwest Bearcat Cheerleaders, under the direction of Head Coach Jason Sack, captured their third UCA National Championship Saturday evening at the Walt Disney World Resort. It was also the third national championship for members Chaz Johnson, Jessie Craddock, John Tye, Brittney Bott, Randi Myers and Ross Davis.

Northwest defended its title from 2012, holding off University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon, which finished second. The 2011 national champion, West Georgia, finished third and was followed by Pittsburg State in fourth.
