Florida in a stretch of four road games out of five, blasted Texas A & M on Thursday night with a 68-47 win at College Station. Elston Turner scored a career-high 40 points in a win over Kentucky, but managed just four points Thursday on 1-of-10 shooting. The Gators defense shut down Turner, who entered the game averaging 17.1 points a game.

Florida entered the game ranked third in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 52 points a game. Things were no different on Thursday as they limited A&M to a season-low in points on 34 percent shooting.  It is the fifth straight win for Florida (13-2, 3-0) which is in the midst of playing four of five games on the road.

On Saturday, Mizzou will look for its second victory against a Top 10 opponent this season at Gainesville, FL.

The Tigers will most likely be without senior forward Laurence Bowers, still nursing a sprained MCL in his right knee, but after the Georgia game, Frank Haith was happy with the progress he’s made since sustaining the injury on Jan. 8.

Jabari Brown has been Missouri’s leading scorer over the last three games and shared the team lead with 15 points in the win over Georgia. Over his last three games Brown is leading the Tigers with 16.7 points per game and has hit 10-of-20 three pointers.

Rebounding will be key for Missouri, who has out-rebounded 13-of-16 opponents this season. The Tigers are No. 1 nationally with 43.8 rebounds per game and are No. 7 nationally in offensive rebounds (15.3).
