The Chiefs finished the 2012 season on Sunday as expected with a loss to Denver, but the way they lost showed a complete overhaul of the organization is needed. The Broncos wrapped up home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs by beating the punchless Chiefs 38-3.

Manning threw for 304 and three touchdowns to pick apart a usually solid defense while the Chiefs offense managed just 119 yards on the day.

Jamaal Charles was held to 53 yards rushing and Brady Quinn in his return to Denver was 7 of 16 for 49 yards while he was sacked four times.

It was the fifth time this season the Chiefs did not score a touchdown and sixth time they allowed more than 30 points.
