Shabazz Muhammad netted a game-high 27 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime, as UCLA hung on for a 97-94 win over No. 7 Missouri on Friday at Pauley Pavilion.

Phil Pressey scored a team-high 19 points and handed out a school-record 19 assists, while Laurence Bowers netted 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds for Missouri (10-2), which had a six-game winning streak snapped.

Keion Bell dropped 17 points with six rebounds and Earnest Ross and Jabari Brown donated 16 and 14 points, respectively, in the setback.

Trailing 74-73 midway through the second half, a pair of free throws by David Wear and a Muhammad dunk gave the Bruins a 77-74 lead with 8:42 to play in regulation, but the Tigers ripped off a 12-0 surge to take a seemingly comfortable 86-77 advantage with 5:34 to go.

Nine straight points by UCLA quickly made it an 86-86 game coming down the stretch before a Bowers dunk gave the Tigers an 88-86 edge with 1:17 left.

On the ensuing UCLA possession, Adams drove to his left and kissed it off the glass and in to tie things at 88.

Missouri got a final look at the basket with 10.6 to go in regulation, but the Bruins used the four fouls they had to give to take the clock down to 4.6 seconds and Missouri was unable to get a final shot, sending things to overtime.

In the extra session, things went back and forth as a pair of free throws by Ross gave Missouri a 93-91 lead with just under two minutes to go, but Muhammad hit 1-of-2 from the line on the Bruins’ next trip down the floor, then buried a trey from the top of the arc for 95-93 UCLA lead with 1:04 remaining.

Ross took the ball hard to the basket for the foul on the ensuing Missouri touch, but made just 1-of-2 from the line and Travis Wear iced it for UCLA with a trey with 13 seconds left.

It was a close game in the early stages as a slam by Bowers gave the Tigers an 11-8 advantage with just over 14 minutes to play in the first half, but then the Bruins roared back.

Muhammad followed Bowers jam with a short jumper to ignite his team on a 15-0 run, capped by a Travis Wear jumper with 11 minutes left to grab a commanding 23-11 advantage.

Missouri responded with an 11-4 spurt of its own to cut the deficit to 25-21, but a pair of free throws by Kyle Anderson followed by a Muhammad jumper extended the UCLA lead to 29-21 with 8:39 on the first-half clock.

A dunk by Travis Wear with 5:21 to go in the first half gave the home side a 39-33 lead, but the Tigers then ripped off a an 11-2 run to take a 44-41 lead, but it was knotted at 47-47 at the half.
